I want to respect my president and his first lady.

I’m so excited about the idea of having Obama as our next president! This is history in the making and I’m glad to be a part of it. Obama has a strong background, cares about important issues, is extremely intelligent (unlike our current [mis]leader) and most importantly has the power to inspire people. That is what we need in a leader. Throughout the entire campaign Obama has been challenged with a tremendous amount of obstacles, including racism, threats, accusations and media biases, but he has not once let it slow his pace. One of my favorite quotes by Martin Luther King Jr. “The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy” – judging by the commendable way in which Obama continues to handle all of the constant negativity thrown his way, I feel as through he’s already proving his ability to handle whatever else may be thrown at him. McCain on the other hand…well we’re able to see where he stands in times of comfort and convenience, seeing as though he’s somehow been able to avoid the same heat that Obama has faced. And where does he stand….
